1. Install: Drag Whis.app from your Downloads folder directly into your Applications folder.
2. First Launch: Open your Applications folder and double-click Whis to start. Note: On macOS, launching from the Applications folder is the required way to open the app.
On some macOS machines, security policies may flag the file. If you receive a "Damaged File" or "Unidentified Developer" error, open your Terminal and run this exact command:
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Whis.app
Enter your system password when prompted (characters will not appear as you type) and press Enter. Now the app will open perfectly.
For Whis-AI to function, the following permissions must be toggled ON in your Mac System Settings > Privacy & Security:

Crucial Distinction: It is important to know the difference between hiding the app from yourself and protecting your screen share.
This is for physical privacy. It removes the app from your own screen so no one looking at your monitor can see it. However, it may still be visible in a screen share unless you have digital protection.
This is for digital privacy. Part of the Elite (Pro Plus) Plan, this feature uses "Content Protection" to automatically hide the overlay from viewers on Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet, even while you can see it.
The app is specifically tuned to only listen to the interviewer. It captures system sound so your own voice doesn't clutter the transcription.
The Mic button turns Red and pulses when active. If it hears silence, the app types a "." every second as a "heartbeat" to show it's still waiting for speech.
Use the camera icon or hotkey to snap a prompt. The AI reads the text and provides a technical solution, including code and logic.
Upload your Resume or Job Description in the "Manage Contexts" menu. The AI prioritizes this data to give you personalized answers tailored to your experience.
Toggle the Bullseye icon for short, punchy answers under 300 characters, perfect for fast reading during a call.
New users can access 10-minute Trial sessions to experience the full power of Whis-AI. Use the "X" stop button next to the timer to end a trial manually.
To Close Permanently: Standard window closing only hides the interface. To fully exit the app, you must click the "X" symbol button in the top-right corner of the application header.
